Convention
○ UIA(Union Of International Association)-based International Meetings
   ☆ Expansion of extra points
    – A Type : Meetings hosted/sponsored by international organizations
      included in UIA’s Yearbook, with a total of 50 participants or more
    – B Type : International meetings hosted/sponsored by branches of
      international organizations or domestic organizations or government
      agencies, with 2 days or more of meetings (or accompanied by an
      exhibition), 250 participants or more (40% foreigners or more) and
      at least 5 participating countries


○ ICCA(International Congress and Convention Association)-based
   Meetings

   ☆ Expansion of extra points
    – A meeting held regularly, with a total of 50 participants or more and
      3 participating countries or more


○ Meetings hosted and supervised by academies · association /
   government · public institutions / other organizations

    – Meetings held for 2 days or more, with a total of 150 participants or
      more and 30 foreigners or more
    – Meetings held for 2 days or more, with a total of 100 participants or
      more and 50 foreigners or more
      ☆ The extra points will be added if your conference is scheduled to be held
          in Gyeonggi for at least 3 years.

Exhibition ○ International Exhibition
○ Exhibitions co-hosted and co-supervised by overseas institutions
    – Exhibition held for 2 days or more at the site, occupying an area of
      5,000㎡ or more, with 80 participating companies or more (10%
      overseas companies or more) and 3,000 viewers or more
      ※ Expansion of extra points on UFI-certified exhibitions
Event ○ International Events
    – Events held for 2 days or more, with a total of 2 participating countries
      or more, 50 foreigners or more (participants and persons concerned),
      1,000 audience members or more
      ※ Foreigners refer to groups of players and persons concerned
          (including referees).
Corporate
Meeting
○ Meetings hosted and supervised by companies
    – Meetings held for 2 days or more, with a total of 100 participants
      or more (20 foreigners or more)
      A meeting held at the MICE facility within the province is essential.
      ※ Team-building activities, retreats, gala dinner programs (including
          performances) are excluded from the meeting time.

      ※ Events held by relevant companies such as insurance, finance, and marketing
          organizations, religious organizations and retreats are excluded.

      ※ Meetings held in a facility owned by a company are excluded.
Incentive
Tour
○ Overseas Company Incentive Tour
    – 50 foreigners or more, and a stay of 1 night or more in the province
    – 200 foreigners or more, and 3 paid tourist sites or more in the province
      ※ Excludes events participated in by civil servants and students, or events to
          attract tourists for a general travel package
    ∘ Extra points are provided for UIA, ICCA, meetings complying with the International Conference
      Industry Promotion Act, and exhibitions complying with the UFI standards
    ∘ Extra points are provided for the Incentive Group that operates the CSR
      (Corporate Social Responsibility) program and visiting a traditional market.
    ∘ Other exclusion criteria are subject to the inner policy of Gyeonggi MICE Bureau
      (e.g. domestic religious events, etc.)

<Precautions>

  ∘ Mandatory to usecompanies in the place where the event is held (city and/or county where the
    MICE event takes place) for 70% of the hosting support fund or more (Bureau and city and/or
    county where the MICE event takes place can recommend support items.)
  ∘ A maximum of 50% of the total support fund can be used for the rent for the event hall
    (MICE facility).
  ∘ The hotel bill refers to the charge for guest speakers in the hotels, and the incentive tour (incentive
    group) is excluded from the supporting hotel bill.
  ∘ Other items can be subject to further review for support in consideration of the economic impact
    of the event, etc.

4. Support Condition
  ① Specify sponsorship or insert logo by Gyeonggi MICE Bureau (or city and/or county where the MICE
     event takes place) on promotional materials or souvenirs.
  ② Cooperate in carrying out surveys targeting the hosting organization and participants.
  ③ Cooperate in operating the promotional booth for Gyeonggi MICE · Tourisim.
  ④ Mandatory to use companies in the place where the event is held (city and/or country where the
     MICE event takes place) for 70% of the hosting support fund or more.
     (Rent of the event hall should be 50% of the total support fund or less.)
5. Application: Submit by e-mail (gmice@gto.or.kr).
6. Submissions
For Application For Result Report
① A copy of the official document in the name of the
   hosting organization (commonly applies to
   bidding, promotion, and hosting support)
② A copy of the bidding/promotion/hosting support
   application (Follow the format provided)
③ Business registration certificate or unique number
   certificate
④ A copy of documentary evidence related to an
   agency with a power of attorney
   (power of attorney, contract, or official document
   of the supervising organization, etc.)

① A copy of the official document in the name of the
   hosting organization (Commonly applies to
   bidding, promotion, and hosting support.)
② A copy of the bidding/promotion/hosting result
   report (Follow the format provided.)
③ A copy of the original evidence of a sponsor’s
   name and logo insertion

<Precautions in Completing a Participant List>
  – 4 items of name, nationality, affiliation,
    e-mail are essential.

    ※ Those who specified all the 4 items
       above should account for 80%
       of total participants or more
       (for domestic events, nationality
       does not need to be specified).
  – Overseas participants are not admitted as
    participants affiliated with a domestic
    organization.
  – Duplicate names and E-mails will be
    considered invalid.
